The Secret Solution to Instant Sales
Now that you know what Raw Generation is, let’s talk about Jessica’s solution to the issue of instant sales.
Jessica stumbled upon StoreYa’s Coupon Pop and an idea was formed.
She thought, rather than using the Coupon Pop to gain sales over an extended period of time, what if I used it for a quick boost by 1) offering a HUGE discount and 2) making the text of the popup super urgent.
And that is just what she did:
Look at how well this Coupon Pop achieves its goals.
First, it stresses the ridiculous 60% off discount not once, but twice on the popup itself. Second, it really creates a sense of urgency with the lines, “Flash sale,” and “Today only,” not to mention the fact that it is all in capital letters.
To boost these efforts, Jessica also added an Exit Pop to the mix!
You’re probably wondering how this Coupon Pop performed so I won’t keep you in suspense – in total Raw Generation boosted its sales by +$28,000 in just three weeks!
Just to break things down a bit – that’s over $20,000 from the Coupon Pop and over $8,000 from the Exit Pop, not to mention the +1,900 emails that Raw Generation collected!
Needless to say Jessica’s plan worked quite well.
A Word of Advice from Jessica Herself
Now that we can see that Jessica’s strategies seem to pay off, here’s a word of advice from her for all the entrepreneurs out there:
“My biggest challenge is splitting my time between the money making activities and everything else that begs for my attention throughout the day, week, month, year. When you first start out, and even a couple of years in, you are wearing many hats and it’s important to give the money making activities priority over all of the other stuff. Most of the stuff we do during a day doesn’t add up to dollars and cents in the bank. It is important to figure out what are the tasks and projects and who are the people you need to reach out to in order to generate sales. Without cash coming in it doesn’t matter what your plans are. Cash makes lots of problems disappear.”
