As many of you may have noticed, Facebook recently updated its Facebook page administrator app – “Facebook Pages.” The updates have made the app cleaner, easier to use, and more efficient. In this post I will discuss a few of the updates that Facebook made to the Pages app.
What is the Facebook Pages App?
For those of you that don’t yet use the Facebook Pages app, let me start by explaining what the app can do for you.
The Pages app was designed by Facebook in order to provide business owners the ability to easily manage their Facebook business pages. From the standard Facebook app you can interact with people, but it is much more difficult to run a page.
The Pages app enables you to receive push notifications from your pages, check insights, schedule posts, and more. The on-the-go control that this app can give you is definitely extremely helpful. The app is available on both Android and iOS.
What Are the Updates to the Facebook Pages App?
Easy Access to Admin Toolbar
After opening the app you will be taken to your Facebook page. The page looks the same as it does on the regular mobile app, but the difference is that on the bottom you will see a toolbar with a number of options.
This tool bar gives you instant access to all sorts of administrative features including viewing your page, viewing recent activity, posting/scheduling new updates, and viewing your insights.
Super Simple to Compose Posts
The middle button on the bottom tool bar opens a new screen for you which lets you choose the type of post you’d like to post to your page.
After writing up your newest post you can even schedule the post for later with this app.
Facebook Insights at Your Finger Tips
By clicking on the “bar-graph” looking button on the tool bar you will be taken to your page’s insights. From here you can view the same charts that you can see from your desktop.
